Viva Voce Creator

  1. Enter the unit and what the viva covers. Both are required, such as “the student’s written case report on managing an older patient with polypharmacy”.
  2. Choose the kind of viva. Pick an oral exam on content, an authenticity check on submitted work, a project or thesis defence, clinical or professional reasoning, or a placement reflection. Then set the level and discipline.
  3. Set the length and questions. Choose the length per candidate (10 to 60 minutes) and the number of main questions. The creator allows at least two minutes a question, plus time to open and close.
  4. Choose parallel sets. If you’re examining several candidates, choose two or three sets. Each set asks about the same things at the same difficulty in a different way, so later candidates can’t be told the questions. The price on the button follows.
  5. Add the content. Paste the assessment brief, a student’s submission, a project summary or lecture notes. For an authenticity check this is required, so the questions are about that work. Remove the student’s name, ID and other personal details first.
  6. Add your outcomes (optional). Under more options, enter learning outcomes and every one will be assessed by at least one question. You can also describe the cohort and anything else, such as “held online and recorded”.
  7. Create the viva. The script, rubric and question plan come first, then the questions are written while you watch. You’re charged once, only when everything is finished.
  8. Read it six ways. The overview has the running order and which questions assess each outcome. The examiner script has what to say and every question with its probes, rephrase, strong-answer points and what to listen out for. The candidate brief is ready to send to students. The rubric and marking sheet are ready to print. The question timer keeps time on your screen.
  9. Rewrite, edit and download. Rewrite any question or the rubric with an optional note (the price is on the button), or choose Edit and change anything yourself, free. Download Word or PDF copies, or a spreadsheet question bank.
  10. Build on it. From a finished viva you can build a feedback comment bank on its rubric, or a worksheet that helps students prepare without giving away the questions. You can also create an authenticity viva straight from an assessment or a hybrid AI activity you’ve already made. Every viva is saved to “My Vivas” and to “Everything You’ve Generated” on your User Hub.

Every action’s credit cost is shown on its own button before you commit to it. Nothing is charged silently.
